OUR FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHERS ALL HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON & IT WILL SURPRISE YOU

Our favorite artists, Cameron Hammond and Brydie Mack to name two, have a common medium: film photography. In today’s digital and social media infused world, film photography has become something extremely special – an art. Taking the time to take the shot and develop the film, allows the image to stand as a singular, important moment in time.  From an aesthetic standpoint, film photography has the unique quality that yields the viewer to feel as if they were really there. There’s grain and imperfections to the shot, whereas digital can, at times, look picture perfect. Depth of field is better captured, and as well as the sharpness and the colors. Take a look at the stunning images from these inspiring artists.

CAMERON HAMMOND @cameron_hammond

Known for his incredible swim campaigns for brands like Faithfull and Vitamin A Swim (just to name a couple), Cameron has an eye for capturing effortless beauty and the feeling of an endless summer. Cameron and his wife Rachel work together as a serious power couple. Rachel not only shoots with Cameron but produces and even does hair and makeup. What a team!

HENRIK PURIENNE @purienne_

Perhaps responsible for the re ignition of the film photography trend, Henrik Purienne is truly one of a kind. His work has been a inspiration for hundreds of photographers looking to emulate his unique 70’s style. His imagery is iconic, sexual and promotes a lifestyle of freedom and love.

BRYDIE MACK @wolfcubwolfcub

Brydie Mack of Wolf Cub Wolf Cub is the coolest girl in the film gang. She not only has an eye for swim but has the incredible ability to shoot a woman’s body in the best possible way. Her European style makes us want to take the first flight out to the Amalfi coast.

AKILA BERJAOUI @akila_berjaoui

The queen of the candid, Akila Berjaoui makes our jaws drop with her incredible beach shots. No body captures a day sun baking at the beach better than her.

JASON LEE PARRY @jasonleeparry

LA cool kid Jason Lee Parry can shoot anything and make it look special. His creative style and edgy touch make you want to be a rockstar in the 70’s. We love his “no f*cks given” attitude and how that comes through in his photography.
