OUR TRAVEL JOURNAL: ANGUILLA

Anguilla

To travel is one of the greatest and most enriching things a person can do. Fortunately for us, traveling has become a full time job, showing us the beauty that different parts of the world have to offer, and connecting us with people from all walks of life.

Anguilla exceeded our expectations in so many different ways. From the kindness rooted in the culture of the local people and flavorful cuisine, to the crystal clear water and white sand beaches. Anguilla will forever be in our hearts.

Although small (Population: 13,000), this beautiful island is filled with character and overwhelming beauty. We visit the neighboring island, St Barths, regularly- it’s one of our favorite places in the world but Anguilla had something totally different to offer- some serious island vibes.

Our journey began with one of our very favorite companies to travel with, REVOLVE. Alongside a group of talented and inspirational blogger babes, we set off for a week of fashion filled activities, that we somehow call work. Horseback riding on the sandy shores, dining at Anguilla’s finest restaurants, beach picnics fit for queens and days lounging on a yacht, this trip was one for the books… if all of this sounds like something for you, we definitely recommend a visit to Anguilla.

WHAT TO PACK:

– Bikinis, lots of them
– Sandals
– Flip flops (best for boat days)
– Shorts
– Beach cover ups
– Casual dinner dresses (dress code is pretty casual on the island)
– Casual heels
– Sunscreen!

WHERE TO STAY:

Frangipani Beach Resort

Family owned and operated, the Frangipani Beach Resort is located on one of the most stunning beaches in Anguilla. A perfect blend of causal and elegance, the vibe of this resort is everything you need for your Anguilla escape.

Pricing:

Rooms range from $400-$600 per night.

Four Seasons

The best thing about Four Seasons is they have pretty impeccable standards, so no matter where you are in the world, you know what you’re going to get if you book with them; Luxury, thats’s what. And Anguilla was no exception.

Pricing:
You’re looking at around $850 USD / night for a room with a view, then basically moving up from there.

Malliouhana

The Malliouhana set a new standard of luxury when it opened in 1984, but stepped it up another level when it was recently renovated. The Art Deco game is strong at this Luxury Resort, but the 3 white sand beaches, Intimate Spa, Open-Air Design and Two-Tiered Infinity Swimming Pool are equally as memorable and definitely a reason to keep coming back…

Pricing:
Standard rooms rates start from about $1100/night. But I mean… would you just look at it?!

Ani  Villas

If you’re traveling with a group of people we highly recommend a stay at Ani Villas. Ani is a modern two house complex with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, a full kitchen and rooftop lounge in each. The complex is equipped with two large swimming pools, two hot tubs, plenty of outdoor lounge space and a deck overlooking the ocean. The comfortable beds, chic decor and stunning views were fantastic but what really made us fall in love with Ani Villas is the unbelievably kind and cool staff that made us feel like family.

Pricing
Ani Villas charge a rate you’d expect to pay for a place that looks like the photo above. It’s not cheap, but you can definitely make it work. When you’re traveling in a big group, you’re looking at paying around $500 pp per night. It’s absolutely in the range of High End Luxury accommodation, but completely worth it.
