What’s better than women supporting women? Women designers supporting fellow women designers. Tash and Dev ventured to The Grove last night to support the young, talented designer, Gigi C.
It’s been about a year since the launch of GIGI C Bikinis, and the momentum is strong as ever. Last night celebrated the launch party of the brands first ever Pop Up Store, which is open to the public from now until May 29. (If you’re in the LA area, be sure to stop in at The Grove and browse!)
Stars such as Ashlee Simpson, Camilla Belle, Courtney Cox, Jamie Chung, Jennifer Meyer, Marissa Hermer, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Rachel Zoe joined Tash and Dev in attendance. It was a perfectly executed and beautiful night – Guests were treated to manicures by Olive & June, onsite towel monogramming, and delicious drinks from Pressed Juicery and Alfred Coffee.
Gigi launched the brand with her mother, Tina Caruso. A Southern California family, the duo aimed to create a swimwear line that allowed activity, while never neglecting style.
With Tina’s modeling photos in mind as inspiration, the women re-designed classic silhouettes with fresh twists, architectural shapes and crisp, laser-cut details. With a bold palette of solid back, white red and blue, these suits are some of the most striking on the market. They are made in Los Angeles, with imported luxe European fabrics.
Tash and Devin were excited to support Gigi – they see so much of themselves in her. GIGI C Bikinis started as a direct-to-consumer business model so that Gigi could have full control of her business – understanding what works and in turn what doesn’t. Gigi thrives on the ability to see from her phone what is selling and where the consumer is being directed from. Tash and Devin have the same analytical mindset with their own brands, and it was inspiring for them to witness the same entrepreneurial spirit.
You can shop the line at Pop Up Store at The Grove, on their latest retail partner, REVOLVE, or direct on GIGI C.
