This year we were absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with Fashion Council WA as their official brand ambassadors for the annual Swim + Resort Series! It was an unforgettable week to say the least, as we attended some of the hottest swimwear and resort wear fashion shows, mingled with some of the best designers in Western Australia, such as Amore + Sorvete, Kirrikin, and Morrison (just to name a few) and even did our very own photoshoot featuring these designers on beautiful Rottnest Island. Perth is filled with so many talented and inspirational individuals and we felt honored to be representing them on behalf of Fashion Council WA.
Take a look through our day by day photo journal of our trip to Perth!

With an event packed schedule we were lucky enough to get to explore some of Perth’s most beautiful areas. On our very first day in Perth we headed to Rottnest Island for a photoshoot featuring some of our favorite Western Australian designers! We wore bikinis by Amore & Sorvete, Ambra Maddalena, SEI Bella Aqua Wear and Seafolly and some stunning resort wear from Morrison and SEI Bella. The water at Rottnest Island was some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen, with crystal clear water and white sand beaches, it was a photoshoot destination of our dreams. We even got time in between shots to take a selfie with the islands most popular inhabitants, the quokkas!

On the second day we enjoyed some relaxation time at our home for the week- the Tradewinds Hotel, before heading to the first official Swim + Resort Series kick off event! Held at the beautiful Camilla store in Claremont Quarter. The fun event had professional Brazilian dancers, delicious bites, yummy drinks and great company. We of course dressed from head to toe in Camilla. What a perfect way to launch the week!

On our third day in Perth we attended a beautiful Swim + Resort Series influencer and designer lunch held on the terrace overlooking Swan River at the Tradewinds Hotel. Just steps outside our hotel room door we enjoyed some delicious food and drinks while mingling with some of Perth’s finest designers and influencers.
Next up, the Manning Cartell runway show! We were especially excited for this as they are one of our favorite designers. Dressed from head to toe in Manning Cartell we sat front row at the runway show, which was held outdoors right at Point Fraswer Boardwalk overlooking the stunning Swan River. The beautiful location really complimented the collection, making the garments look even more amazing!

The final night of Swim + Resort Series was bittersweet as it was so much fun but we also knew our time in Perth was be coming to an end! The runway setting was one of the most inventive and creative set up’s we have ever seen, because it was literally on the beach! City Beach to be exact. What better way to showcase swim and resort wear than seeing the models rock it on the sand?! It was such a cool concept. One of the shows we were most looking forward to was the WA Designer Runway featuring eight local designers including Amore & Sorvete, because we are huge fans of the brand. They of course killed it with their stunning new designs and perfect fits. We still can’t get over the lemon printed bikini, so adorable!

The final show of the evening was the Camilla runway and boy did they end the Swim + Resort Series with a bang! Camilla pulled out all of the stops, as always, with her stunning designs, beautiful models, and Brazilian flavor to match the Rio themed collection. This show made us want to get up and start dancing (and shopping)!
We want to give a special thanks to everyone from the Fashion Council WA team, Tourism WA Board, Amore & Sorvete, Morrison, L’Oreal Professional Australia, and Artists@Play and Tradewinds Hotel for a wonderful week. Perth has opened our eyes to some of the talent that Western Australia holds and it will now forever hold a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to come back! We ended the trip with one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. Apparently this is normal in Perth, you guys are blessed!
