Posh Pua is known for its comfortable and teeny bikinis. We spoke with designer, Julie Stone, to get the details about her line, and we love her carefree vibe that translates perfectly into her super cute bikinis! Here is what she had to say:
What was the inspiration behind your line?
The new collection is inspired by empty beaches and the smell of incense. Salty hair and skin and getting by with just a bikini and the essentials in your beach bag.
What kind of girl wears a Posh Pua bikini?
The Posh Pua girl is fun, active and always ready for surf, travel or a little luxury.
What is your favorite bikini in the collection?
Favorite bikini this season is the Lanai Top and Ti Bottom.
The surf/active look is very “in” currently. Do you keep in mind the fact that these suits may be used in more “sporty” ways when choosing your fabrics?
Absolutely! I surf, so much of the Posh Pua 2015 collection is designed for surfers and girls who are active at the beach. For both our prints and solids we use an Italian LYCRA XTRA LIFE fabric that we feel confident will retain its shape and hold up in the waves and sun.
How do you try to ensure that your customers are happy with the quality of the swimwear they purchase from your brand?
I think customer satisfaction is the most important part of business. We work with great retailers who have good customer service and we will also deal directly with customers to help them with any questions or concerns they may have. And we begin with quality materials and a great team at the Bali factory.
What are the steps involved in preparing to showcase your line at Salon Allure?
This is our first year at Salon Allure and we’re looking forward to it! First we sample every style in all the new prints and solids. The past few weeks have been crazy with location shoots, studio shoots and then editing all the photos.
What do you have to say to girls who don’t feel confident in a bikini?
Confidence is so sexy. You have to feel confident, but I know some days it’s easier said than done. Those are onepiece days!
