DESIGNER PROFILE: MONDAY SWIMWEAR
A Bikini A Day creators, Natasha and Devin, have officially set off on their latest venture, Monday Swimwear. A real dream come true, their “One and Only” swimwear collection has the aim of providing women of all shapes and sizes with their perfect bikini. Inspired by their endless passion for swimwear, jet-setter lifestyle and extensive knowledge of bikinis, the girls decided to create a collection that truly embodies what they find to be important in a swimsuit. Classic colors, comfort and the perfect fit are the focus of the 2014 “One and Only” Collection. With the growing anticipation for the girls to create their own line, Natasha and Devin are thrilled to finally share their creation with the world.
Q: What was the inspiration behind Monday Swimwear?
A: Monday was inspired by our love of bikinis and our overwhelming desire to share our knowledge of swimwear with the world. With A Bikini A Day, we have literally touched, tried on, analyzed and worn thousands of bikinis! Our expertise in the area compelled and influenced us to develop a collection that we know will provide bikini lovers all over the world with the support, comfort, style and sexiness that we all look for when shopping for bikinis.
Q:What are your favorite suits in the collection?
A: Natasha – My favorite would have to be the Clovelly top and bottom in red. My search for the perfect underwire bikini is over! Finding an underwire top that fits exactly how you want is not an easy task. The Clovelly molds to my body and creates just enough cleavage to leave me feeling sexy and supported. With adjustable straps and a bow tie back, the Clovelly top will never dig in or fall off. It’s just perfect. The brazilian style bottoms are magical; the cut creates a perfect shape that literally lifts the butt and makes it look amazing.
Devin – The Tulum top and bottom is my favorite from the “One and Only” Collection. This bikini is REVOLUTIONARY. The entire bikini is adjustable so I can customize the amount of exposure that I want, which is perfect for any occasion. The one size fits all top is actually amazing; it fits an A cup up to a DDD cup! Besides those incredible details, the main reason the Tulum suit is my favorite is because it provides me with support and comfort all day long. Being larger chested, it is so important for me to have a bikini top that does not cut into my neck after a couple hours wearing it. The Tulum is soft and easy, yet durable so I can wear it all day long and feel comfortable and supported but still sexy!
Q: How would you describe Monday Swimwear?
A: Monday swimwear is the perfect combination of both of our personal styles, the LA lifestyle and the jet-setter lifestyle. We took aspects from these three things to develop the collection’s color scheme and design. We chose to incorporate simple and classic colors that are timeless and effortless. Black, nude, red, royal blue, and olive green are colors that are staples and favorites in our personal wardrobes. The cut of the suits is based off of the female body and swimwear aspects that we know are necessary when wearing bikinis. We cannot stress enough how important fit is, so we have carefully designed Monday Swimwear to provide the perfect fit for women of all different shapes and sizes. With the range of designs and colors there is a bikini in the collection for every girl.
Q: How do you hope girls feel while wearing Monday Swimwear?
A: Confident, comfortable, sexy and alive!
Q: What can we expect in the future for Monday Swimwear?
A: We had such a wonderful experience creating the first “One and Only” Collection, so we’re really looking forward to sharing more of our ideas and designs in the next collection. We can’t give too much away, but we’re definitely excited to potentially be adding in some fun prints, one pieces, high waisted bottoms, and much more that you will just have to wait and see! Our friendship is stronger than ever right now and our passion for swimwear continues to thrive and inspire us to create innovative new designs that we can’t wait to show the world!
